He began his career at the BBC African Service before covering the Balkan Wars for The Economist and sometimes the Financial Times. Judah has written several books on the geopolitics of the Balkans. He is president of the board of both the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) and the Kosovar Stability Initiative (IKS).

Ilva Tare
Ilva Tare is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center and was most recently a broadcaster with EuroNews Group. A household name in her native Albania, she has vast experience in the Western Balkans. She is also the host of the Atlantic Council’s online show and podcast, #BalkansDebrief, where she discusses key issues impacting the Western Balkans.
