About This Event

The economies of the United States and China are incredibly interconnected. At the same time, the two countries have a contentious–and at times adversarial–relationship. A recent report by the Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the US and China urges policymakers to rethink their approach to economic and technological engagement with China.

How should the US approach competition with China in the next decade to ensure its own security and prosperity? What should Americans know about companies like Shein and Temu and their ties to potential human rights abuses? Can apps like TikTok really be used for surveillance? Join Representative Krishnamoorthi, Chair of the Select Committee, for a discussion on these questions and more.
